볼보·지리 전기차 브랜드, 폴스타(Polestar) 국내 출시

볼보자동차에서 독립한 전기차 브랜드 폴스타(Polestar)가 국내에 선보였습니다.

서울 한남동에 위치한 폴스타의 첫 번째 전시공간인 ‘데스티네이션 서울’에서 브랜드의 글로벌 현황과 비전, 그리고 중장기적인 한국에서의 사업 전략을 밝히며 국내 전기차 시장 진출을 선언했습니다.

스웨덴 예테보리에 본사를 둔 폴스타는 볼보자동차에서 독립한 프리미엄 전기 자동차 브랜드로 볼보자동차와 지리홀딩에 의해 2017년 설립됐습니다. 현재 전 세계 18개국에 진출해 있으며 오는 2023년까지 30개 시장으로 확대할 계획입니다. 국내에 출시하는 첫 모델은 5도어 패스트백 ‘폴스타 2’입니다. 폴스타 2는 트림에 따라 최대 78kWh의 배터리 용량, 300kW(408마력) 및 660Nm의 성능, 540km(WLTP 기준)의 최대 주행가능거리를 갖췄습니다.

내년 공개 예정인 플래그십 SUV 폴스타3를 비롯해 2023년 중형 SUV 폴스타4, 2024년 대형 스포츠 세단인 폴스타5까지 제품 포트폴리오를 구축했습니다.

Polestar, an independent electric vehicle brand from Volvo Cars, was introduced in Korea.

Polestar's first exhibition space, Destination Seoul, located in Hannam-dong, Seoul, announced its entry into the domestic electric vehicle market by revealing the brand's global status, vision, and mid- to long-term business strategies in Korea.

Polestar, headquartered in Yetebori, Sweden, is a premium electric car brand independent of Volvo Cars and was established in 2017 by Volvo Cars and GEELY Holdings. Currently, it has entered 18 countries around the world and plans to expand to 30 markets by 2023. The first model to be released in Korea is the five-door fastback "Polstar 2." Polstar 2 has a battery capacity of up to 78 kWh, performance of 300 kW (408 horsepower) and 660 Nm, and maximum mileage of 540 km (based on WLTP), depending on the trim.

In addition to the flagship SUV Polstar 3, which is scheduled to be unveiled next year, the product portfolio has been established, including the mid-sized SUV Polstar 4 in 2023 and the large sports sedan Polstar 5 in 2024.
