서울국제여성영화제 <고양이를 부탁해> 개봉 20주년 특별전 개최

 

제23회 서울국제여성영화제가 '고양이를 부탁해' 개봉 20주년을 기념하여 디지털 리마스터링 버전으로 상영하는 특별전을 개최합니다.

​

'고양이를 부탁해'(2001)는 2000년대 초반, 한국 영화계에서 여성영화가 제대로 된 평가를 받지 못했던 시기에 여성 캐릭터를 내세워 이목을 끌었습니다. '고양이를 부탁해'는 씨네21이 창간 22주년을 기념해 진행한 설문조사 한국영화 최고의 여성 캐릭터 10위에 선정됐으며, 26회 부산국제영화제에서 진행한 설문조사 여성감독이 만든 최고의 아시아 영화 7위에 오르기도 했습니다.

특별전에는 OST를 담당한 '모임 별'의 공연을 포함해 감독 정재은과 주연배우 배두나, 서울국제여성영화제의 프로그래머 김현민이 영화의 과거와 현재에 대해 말하는 '스페셜 토크 행사'가 마련되어 있습니다.

제23회 서울국제여성영화제는 8월 26일(목)부터 9월 1일(수)까지 총 7일 동안 메가박스 상암월드컵경기장과 문화비축기지에서 열립니다.

"Take Care Of My Cat" (2001) drew attention in the early 2000s when female films were not properly evaluated in the Korean film industry. "Take Care Of My Cat" was selected as the top 10 female characters in a survey conducted by Cine 21 to commemorate the 22nd anniversary of its foundation, and ranked seventh in the top Asian film made by female directors at the 26th Busan International Film Festival.

The special exhibition will feature a special talk event where director Jung Jae-eun, lead actress Bae Doo-na, and programmer Kim Hyun-min of the Seoul International Women's Film Festival talk about the past and present of the film, including the performance of "Gathering Star."

​

The 23rd Seoul International Women's Film Festival will be held at Megabox Sangam World Cup Stadium and Culture Storage Base for a total of 7 days from August 26 (Thursday) to September 1 (Wednesday).
