맥도날드, BTS 세트출시

맥도날드가 한국 아이돌 방탄소년단(BTS)과 손을 잡고 세트 메뉴를 출시합니다.

맥도날드는 다음달 미국, 캐나다, 브라질 등 11국에서 ‘BTS 세트 메뉴’(BTS MEAL)를 내놓고 이후에는 6개 대륙 49국으로 판매를 확대할 예정입니다.

BTS 세트에는 10조각의 치킨 맥너겟과 중간 크기 감자튀김, 콜라로 구성됩니다. 한국에서는 인기 소스이지만 미국에서는 선보인 적 없는 스위트 칠리소스와 케이준 디핑소스도 메뉴와 함께 제공됩니다.

맥도날드가 유명 뮤지션과 컬래버를 한 것은 처음은 아닙니다. 작년 9월엔 미국 힙합 가수 트래비스 스콧 세트메뉴를 출시했고, 스콧은 맥도날드 세트메뉴 덕에 최소 2000만달러(약 223억원)를 벌어들인 바 있습니다. 또한 가수 뿐만 아니라 맥도날드는 우피 골드버그, 조 몬태나, 밀리 바비 브라운 등의 셀럽을 내세운 슈퍼볼 메뉴도 출시한 바 있습니다.

한정판인 BTS 세트 메뉴는 5월 26일부터 6월 20일까지 약 1달간 판매할 예정입니다. 한국에서는 5월 27일 만나볼 수 있습니다.

McDonald's plans to release its "BTS Set Menu" (BTS MEAL) in 11 countries, including the U.S., Canada and Brazil, next month, and expand its sales to 49 countries on six continents.

The BTS set consists of 10 pieces of chicken McNuggets, medium fries, and coke. Sweet chili sauce and Cajun dipping sauce, which are popular in Korea but have never been introduced in the United States, are also served with the menu.

It's not the first time McDonald's has collaborated with a famous musician. In September last year, American hip-hop singer Travis Scott set menu was released, and Scott earned at least 20 million dollars (about 22.3 billion won) thanks to McDonald's set menu. In addition to singers, McDonald's has also released Super Bowl menus featuring celebrities such as Whoopy Goldberg, Joe Montana, and Milli Bobby Brown.

The limited edition of BTS set menu will be sold for about a month from May 26th to June 20th. We can meet on May 27th in Korea.
